Robert Half has released two new forecasts for future hiring growth, and these reports indicate IT and law firms will both be hiring in the second half of 2014.

For industry insiders, it should be no surprise that the IT field continues to expand. From July through December, fully 76 percent of CIOs who responded to Robert Half's survey indicated they plan to hire for open IT positions. An additional 14 percent will be expanding their IT staff to include more talent.

Staffing firms[ that specialize in IT temporary workers will benefit from this. But temps can work not only for the IT and clerical industries – they are useful for any sort of job. There are employers of record that can find an educated, experienced and hard-working temp for whatever job becomes necessary.

For example, in the second survey by Robert half, one in four lawyers said they plan to add more legal jobs in the second half of 2014, and this would be an area in which temporary legal staffing would be very beneficial. The influx of lawyers is due to expectations of more litigation in the near future. This includes commercial litigation and insurance defense.
