Karla Hertzog Celebrates 50 Years with Innovative Employee Solutions!
November 1st marks the 50th work anniversary for Karla Hertzog at Innovative Employee Solutions. Karla Hertzog is the founder and CEO of Innovative Employee Solutions, a certified woman-owned and woman-operated business in San Diego.
In 1971, Karla, a second-generation member of the team, started working for TOPS* Total Personnel Service which her father started in Denver, Colorado in the 1950’s. She worked under him until 1974 when he moved her to San Diego to start a second location of TOPS*.
She’s been witness to the company’s humble beginnings, been instrumental in the company’s transition from one generation to another, and has steadfastly provided the behind-the-scenes framework needed to run a successful woman-owned company.
Ranked #1 for Woman-Owned Business and #3 for Minority-Owned by the San Diego Business Journal, Karla was a trailblazer in the staffing industry and one of the few women at the table in many board meetings and industry events back in the 80’s and 90’s but always had so much to contribute.
But even more than that is her dedication to her community. While being a single mother and raising two children, building a company that became the largest staffing provider in San Diego, serving as chairman of the American Staffing Association, Karla also volunteered and served on the boards of the YMCA, Angels Foster Family Agency (and becoming a foster parent!), Rady’s Children’s Hospital and countless others.
We honor and commend Karla for her loyalty, dedication, organization, professionalism, reliability and leadership.
