SAN DIEGO, CA – June 4, 2009 – Innovative Employee Solutions (IES), a nationwide provider of outsourced payroll and human resources (HR) administration services, is proud to honor employee Kara Hertzog for her successful completion of LEAD San Diego’s 2009 Core Curriculum at a graduation ceremony on June 12, 2009 at San Diego’s Sea World Park. Presenters honoring the graduates at the event will include Drew Scholosberg of the San Diego Union Tribune, current LEAD Chair Kristy Gregg of San Diego National Bank, and LEAD Board Chair Elect Mark Leslie of AT&T.

Established in 1981, LEAD San Diego is one of the oldest and most prestigious community leadership organizations in the nation and is highly regarded throughout the greater San Diego region. LEAD’s influential members represent all sectors of the San Diego community and are dedicated to providing leadership that is dynamic, meaningful, and relevant. Each year, the organization selects a small group of approximately 55 promising individuals to participate in a yearlong series of seminars, hands-on learning experiences, and community service projects designed to give participants a broad perspective of the unique issues facing our region.

As a longtime resident of San Diego an an active community member, Ms. Hertzog was chosen for membership in LEAD’s 2009 class based on her demonstration of community involvement, knowledge of the region, and a commitment to service and leadership in both her professional and civic life. For the program’s final project, Ms. Hertzog and a group of her fellow LEAD classmates spent several months developing an extensive business plan to benefit the YMCA’s Youth and Family Services Group.

“IES is extremely proud of Kara’s participation in the 2009 LEAD program,” said Elizabeth Rice, President of Innovative Employee Solutions. “She is a bright, dynamic young woman whose dedication, leadership and integrity make her an asset not only to our company, but to our community at large.”

Kara joined Innovative Employee Solutions in 2005 as a member of the company’s client services team. Prior to joining IES, she served as a Senior Project Manager for FleetBoston Financial and worked in fundraising and development for the San Diego nonprofit Angels Foster Family Network.
