IES Named Best Place to Work in San Diego
Outsourced Payroll and HR administration firm ranked among city’s most desirable workplaces, according to Best Companies Group and San Diego Business Journal
SAN DIEGO, CA – August 11, 2016 – Innovative Employee Solutions (IES), a nationwide provider of outsourced payroll and human resources (HR) administration services, was honored as one of San Diego’s Best Places to Work today by the Best Companies Group and the San Diego Business Journal, at the latter’s 10th annual awards ceremony.
The awards, which took place at San Diego’s Paradise Point Resort and Spa, recognized outstanding San Diego employers in the small, medium, large, and mega business categories. IES was one of 100 finalists highlighted at the event, placing 26th among small businesses. Setting these companies apart were a number of exceptional workplace features, including generous employee benefits, employee wellness initiatives, and community service efforts. Chief among the outstanding IES workplace features highlighted was the company’s award-winning IESCares community service program, which provides staff members with paid time off for company-organized volunteer efforts. Also notable were the company’s generous employee benefits packages, flexible work schedules, and employee health and wellness initiatives.
This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in San Diego, benefiting the county’s economy, workforce, and businesses. The award criteria consisted of a two-part process, the first of which was an evaluation of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part of the process consisted of companywide employee surveys conducted by the Best Companies Group, in which employees were asked to anonymously rate their employers on factors such as benefits, compensation, employee recognition and appreciation, and more. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in San Diego, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.
After the announcement of the winners at the August 11 ceremony, a special issue of the San Diego Business Journal that profiles the companies selected as the Best Places to Work in San Diego will be published on August 22.
