Reliving the hiring burden with recruiters

Hiring can be a long and arduous process that takes many productive hours away from companies. According to ERE Media, for each online job posting, there are an average of 100 resumes submitted. That number grows to 250 for corporate job openings. Most hiring managers will view only about 25 of them, with only 4 to 6 being invited for an interview, and 1 to 3 advancing further.

The result is a hefty amount of time by hiring managers only to view a fraction of the potential talent. Companies could be missing out entirely on the large pool of workers who are passively looking for jobs. As Business Writer Samna Ghani explained in a recent article for Capital Liberty News, this is why many companies are turning to professional recruiters.

Staffing companies, Ghani explained, specialize in specific areas of the market. By maintaining a database of job seekers, many recruiters are able to pull out prescreened, well-qualified candidates in a short amount of time. Furthermore, staffing firms often specialize in hiring temporary or contract workers that companies can give a trial period before offering a permanent position. Many recruiters also offer training, so companies can expect to receive qualified and knowledgeable workers.
