April 2 was the eighth annual National Employee Benefits Day and HR administrations across the country turned out to celebrate. The focus this year was on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and human resource professionals were encouraged to continue educating employees on ACA resources and updates

Created in 2004 by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, National Employee Benefits Day reminds HR departments about the need to evaluate employee benefit offerings and informing workers about current benefits. The day was developed as a way for HR professionals to recognize everything they do for their colleagues' wellbeing. The day also suggests HR professionals plan company activities throughout the day and to support each other's health and wellness.

One of the businesses celebrating the day remarked HR professionals accomplish employee benefits administration with seeming ease

"Navigating the world of employee benefits is a daunting task, and the team at Healthentic wants to acknowledge these professionals on National Employee Benefits Day, and every day," a spokesperson for Healthentic said in a recent interview with Seattle Pi.
