By now, many companies are seeing improvements in the economy. Job growth continues to trend upward and the market has shifted from power being placed in the hands of employers to job seekers who now have their choice of offers to consider when they are presented. As organizations plan to increase their payrolls in the coming months, many will begin to turn to contract workers for help.

These individuals are extremely talented and eager to work and prove themselves in the hope that their efforts will convert them from temporary workers and turn them into full-time employees. According to Business News Daily, citing a study conducted by CareerBuilder, this year, 36 percent of companies plan to increase their permanent hiring. This number is up significantly from the 24 percent of organizations hiring full-time staff members in 2014.

This is good news for temporary workers. In 2015, 46 percent of companies have plans to increase the number of contract workers they have on staff. This represents a 4 percent increase from 2014 when 42 percent of businesses employed supplemental staff.

In addition, Entrepreneur Magazine, citing a joint survey conducted by Elance-oDesk and the Freelancers Union, wrote that contract workers will make up 34 percent of the workforce in the U.S. – this is equivalent to 53 million people. In 2004, there were 42.6 million individuals working as temps. It's easy to see how this group of individuals has grown significantly over the years.

Ultimately, 2015 appears to be shaping up as a good year for those working with staffing agencies who are trying to find the right fit for their skills and abilities. With more companies on the hunt for talented individuals, the best and brightest temporary workers will find themselves with a unique opportunity to secure permanent employment.
