Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist will provide marketing support to the marketing team and to the organization. They will assist and report to the Director of Marketing. A successful candidate will be a results-oriented, self-starter who thrives in a data-driven and fully remote environment. They must be capable of handling multiple projects at once, taking direction, and comfortable working with teams, vendors, and management at all levels.

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting IES in expanding its communication and marketing via its website, social media pages, email newsletter(s), annual reporting, and other marketing and branding materials. This position is responsible for developing original content and recommending communication strategies, in collaboration with IES staff and leadership team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Manages the Marketing CRM HubSpot.
  • Develops and executes Email Campaigns, Nurture Campaigns, Workflows, Newsletters, New Sales & Marketing Collateral, Case Studies and Whitepapers, Landing Pages, and Forms.
  • Data and Reporting.
  • Consistently researches and stays on top of industry trends and best practices.
  • Has a thirst for continuous learning and will proactively take the necessary online courses to achieve marketing success.

Social Media:

  • Develop and manage organic and paid social media strategy.
  • Manage social media and presence across channels that include LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Conduct A/B testing across channels.
  • Grow social media followers across channels.
  • Ability to developed marketing dashboards to help stakeholders with data-driven decision making.
  • Leverage social media, CRM (HubSpot), and digital analytics data to uncover key insights.
  • Derive value using data and dashboards to develop stories to help share company objectives.
  • Knowledge and assistance with Tradeshow strategy, planning and execution.

Email Campaigns, Landing pages, Forms:

  • Develop, execute, and manage Email Campaigns, nurtures, and workflows in HubSpot.
  • Develop landing pages and form fills in HubSpot to accompany email campaigns.
  • Conduct A/B testing for weekly emails leading to increase in conversions.
  • Optimize e-mail blasts and boost open and click rates.
  • Audience segmentation, targeting, journey building, campaign deployment, developing tests and learning plans. These concepts should be understood both at the individual campaign level as well as extended marketing efforts.
  • Create and implement strategy for target industries that increase brand awareness and generate leads.

Copywriting, Content and Communications:

  • Experience writing and editing copy for brochures, websites, programs, newsletters, case studies, whitepapers, and advertisements.
  • Implement new content strategies and design engaging stories via Case Studies, Whitepapers, and Newsletters that lead to growth in social media shares.
  • Digital Marketing content including conversion copy, SEO blogs and articles, eBooks, service descriptions, and paid advertising campaigns.
  • Ensure all content created is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, web, and video.
  • Manage creative execution and content planning for creative content, social media, and newsletters from ideation and concept phase to final deliverable, including leading brainstorm sessions.
  • Maintains digital content archive, including organizing assets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business preferred.
  • 3-year(s) experience in a marketing related field.
  • Proficient in copywriting, social media, analytics, marketing, branding.
  • Ability to accurately and consistently complete work on schedule and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to exercise creativity in accordance with organization’s branding.
  • Technical aptitude to partner with teams and assist in optimizing processes.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
