HR Account Representative – Onsite

The HR Account Representative – Onsite manages the employee onboarding process and oversees client relationships to ensure excellent customer service while adhering to business practices and federal, state and local regulations.   This is an internal staff position working onsite at our client’s location in Austin, Texas and will support IES’s core values with superior service, clear communication and employee/client relations.  The HR Account Representative – Onsite will triage complex inquiries from candidates, employees and the client serving as a main point of contact and will be required to work quickly and manage high volume HR tasks.

The incumbent will assess and anticipate department and corporate strategy.  This professional must be service oriented and a business attentive individual who is collaborative in their approach to make recommendations for efficiencies and solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Executes the onboarding and off boarding process for employees.
  • Keeps client abreast of the applicant onboarding status during the hiring process.
  • Coordinates the client-specific hiring procedure directly with the applicant and responds to inquiries.
  • Initiates background checks and drug screens and escalates to Corporate HR as needed.
  • Responsible for setup of time card profiles in Kronos timekeeping system.
  • Provides guidance to client and employees on timekeeping procedures.
  • Responds to client regarding employee performance issues and employee relations.  Advises client of HR best practices and laws as needed. Consults with IES HR Team as needed.
  • Serves as technical expert for troubleshooting issues within employee and client portal.
  • Provides counsel or coordinates support on HR fundamentals and employee related questions.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues.  Escalates complex investigations to HR.
  • Works closely with payroll staff to ensure accurate and timely pay procedures.  Educates client on worker classification, independent contractors and risk management.
  • Collaborates with team and shares critical information with stakeholders.  Maintains open communication to consider the team needs and coverage requirements.
  • Displays strong aptitude for multi-tasking priorities and remaining flexible.
  • Identifies areas of improvement for best customer service performance and makes recommendation in workflows and efficiencies.
  • Facilitates regular client meetings and prepares reporting as needed.
  • Conducts audits for internal and client required compliance.
  • Displays superior service to employees and clients with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Applies overall corporate knowledge to drive daily decision making and prioritization.
  • Documents and retains detailed procedures, in multiple systems, to ensure full documentation and accuracy in personnel records.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Assists on department projects or product roll-outs as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or AA Degree in Business, Human Resources and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Certification Preferred – Certified Staffing Professional, SHRM-CP, PHR
  • Knowledge working within MSP, VMS or other client technology tools.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Human Resources and/or Staffing.
  • Proven success working in a fast paced environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.
