Account Manager

This is an internal staff position working in our corporate San Diego office located off the I-15 and Aero Dr. 

The Account Manager ensures a seamless transition from sales to service, oversees the client relationship to ensure success, and partners with sales to identify and pursue client growth. Serves as the liaison with for contingent employee and client issues.

New Client Onboarding

  • Partners with sales to transition new accounts to service. Sets up client portal and schedules WorkSite demonstrations.
  • Works with team to configure 1Staff, identify customizations or changes needed for onboarding.
  • Works with VMS and MSP to create and maintain a world class contingent workforce program for the client. Collaboration with these partners and the client will be imperative for the success of the program.

Client Growth

  • Partners with sales regarding the communication and progress of trends, revenue goals and actuals.
  • Partners with sales to identify and pursue new opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Provides support to sales for sales presentation and business reviews.
  • Knowledgeable about all IES services. Offers solutions to client when potential need is discovered.

Client Retention

  • Develops and maintains an active relationship and dialogue with assigned customer(s) at all levels of the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives & key stakeholders by providing consultative recommendations & best practices that will allow customers to achieve their primary business objectives
  • Effectively manages all areas of assigned client relationships including building relationships, forecasting, internal and external communication, reporting, administrative and customer service.
  • Develops appropriate service strategy and documented plan on assigned accounts based on size, profitability and client relationship.
  • Acts as escalation point for resolution of non-routine issues. Works directly with resolution team to identify root cause and communicates resolution to client.
  • Acts as an expert liaison with a deep understanding of IES systems, services and best practices to provide recommendations for effectiveness, as well as provide customer-centric product feedback and requests to internal teams.
  • Participates in developing service department goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with other departments to implement service plan and track trends and developments for client and employee issues.
  • Identifies areas of improvement for best customer service performance and makes recommendation in workflows and efficiencies.
  • Attends client meetings and visits client location as needed.
  • Assists the Employment Specialists with responses to clients regarding employee performance issues, terminations, employee relations and other problems. Advises clients of HR best practices and laws as needed. Consults with IES HR Team as needed.
  • Resolves internal and external client/employee issues through investigation and through research with assistance from other departments.
  • Contributes to HR Audits to ensure compliance with business policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for special projects as needed. May also take the lead on rollouts of new products or technical enhancements.

 

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources and/or staffing in a contingent workforce program
  • Technical competencies using VMS products
  • Project Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
