According to a recent report from Wanted Analytics, job ads for legal occupations hit 28,000 in April, up 10 percent year-over-year.

The most commonly advertised job titles within the legal industry include paralegal, attorney, legal assistant, litigation attorney, counsel, patient attorney and tax attorney.

Skills most commonly required for said positions were project management, Lexis Nexis, estate planning, WordPerfect and records management.

Researchers found that legal professionals in Los Angeles may have the most difficult time finding a full-time, part-time or contract worker position, as the average job posting is active for 39 days. On the other hand, Corpus Christie, Texas, is one of the easiest locations to find a legal job, with the average posting up for just 24 days.

The Dallas Business Journal adds that in North Texas specifically, law firms are reporting increased hiring plans for partners, associates, summer interns and support staff.

"The market is coming around now where people are getting out of the bunker mentality," said Curtis Carlson, administrative partner for the Dallas office of Hunton & Williams LLP, as quoted by the media outlet.
