Getting started with IES is simple and will allow you to begin placing recruits in no time.
Getting Started - Back Office Support
Step 1: Client Set up
Call to get a quote on a mark-up for your client. The mark-up will be determined by the workers' compensation code, state insurance taxes, and our administration fees.
Recruiter/Staffing Firm submits new client information online at IES' customized portal.
You or an IES account manager will contact your client to sign the service agreement and confidential credit application.
An IES accounting representative will contact you for a W-9 and ACH payment setup.
Step 2: Employee Enrollment
The recruiter/staffing firm will submit a Payroll Staffing Request online, meeting the following terms:
- Assignment minimum of four weeks
- Pay rates no less than $12 per hour
- Some workers' compensation categories cannot be serviced
- If the employee has not already completed a new hire packet, an IES human resource supervisor will contact them to complete it and set them up with an online time card.
The candidate must complete all forms included in the IES New Hire Packet:
- Employment application
- Drug testing authorization and consent form
- W-4 form, safety information
- Employment eligibility verification form (I-9 Form)
- Post-conditional job offer medical questionnaire
- Direct deposit form
You will be assigned a professional service team including an Account Manager, a Human Resources Supervisor, a Payroll Administrator and an Accounts Receivable/Billing Representative to help you manage your clients and answer any questions you may have.
Getting Started - Nationwide Capability
Step 1: Setup
Call IES to get a quote for your out-of-state placement, determined by workers' compensation code, state insurance taxes, and our administration fees.
Return completed credit application and signed service agreement to IES, including established terms and conditions of placement and rate markup.
Step 2: Employee Enrollment
To place an employee on our payroll your candidate must complete all forms included in the IES New Hire Packet:- Employment application
- Drug testing authorization and consent form
- W-4 form, safety information
- Employment eligibility verification form (I-9 Form)
- Post-conditional job offer medical questionnaire
- Direct deposit form
The supervisor or manager completes a Payroll Staffing Request form, which includes pay rate and job information, and faxes or emails it and the New Hire Packet to IES for the employee to be placed on our payroll. This paperwork must be received before the employee starts. If you wish to offer benefits to an employee, a Benefits Request Form must also be submitted.
Once the packet is received, the employee will be emailed a Welcome Letter from their customer service manager. This letter explains who IES is and gives them instructions on how to submit their time cards.
