Innovative Employee Solutions (IES) Honored as Top Family-Owned Business in San Diego
SAN DIEGO
The awards, which took place on November 5, 2008 at the Del Mar Marriott, recognized the business and community accomplishments of San Diego's small, medium, and large family-owned businesses. IES was one of nine locally-headquartered businesses selected as a 2008 honoree. Panelists presenting the award praised the company's strong commitment to organizational excellence, saying "IES is a company that truly embodies the spirit of family. All aspects of the business, from sales processes to employee relations, operate under the guiding principle that relationships - not processes, products, or even profits - matter most. This principle has helped IES develop a large and growing base of extremely loyal customers and highly dedicated employees."
A family-owned business since its inception in 1998, Innovative Employee Solutions is owned by Karla Hertzog and managed by long-term employee and current President Elizabeth Rice. Karla Hertzog's daughter, Kara Hertzog, is also an IES employee and was on hand to accept the award on behalf of her family and the IES management team.
In addition to receiving this year's Family-Owned & Closely-Held Business Award, IES has also been ranked among the San Diego Business Journal's top women-owned businesses. In previous years the company also received recognition as one of San Diego's fastest growing privately-held companies.
