Orlando Kleen

Controller

A member of the IES team since March of 2007, Orlando previously served as Corporate Officer and Controller for Telmex USA, LLC and affiliated entities, telecommunications subsidiaries of Telefonos de Mexico, America Movil, and Grupo Carso. While there, he managed the company from start-up in 1997 to its current status, acquiring valuable experience in strategic management, financial reporting, operations, and cross-border transactions & taxation throughout Latin America.

Prior to 1997, Orlando held executive, management, and staff positions in industry and public accounting. His eleven years of public accounting experience include practice management, financial planning, tax planning & compliance, auditing, and consulting services primarily to high net worth individuals, closely held businesses, real estate entities, oil & gas, and healthcare professionals.

During his career, Orlando has lived and worked in Houston, Mexico City, Miami and San Diego. He is fluent in Spanish and in the early 1980's accrued three years of experience in Mexico City working as Chief Accountant in the engineering and construction industry with Brown & Root, Inc. (a Halliburton subsidiary). He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Houston, is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas, and is currently pursuing his California CPA license.
